Tragedy on the Vessel: Three Workers Confirmed Dead

Yesterday, July 23, late at night, a tragic event occurred involving a dredging vessel owned by the «Delta-Lotsman» branch of the state enterprise «Administration of Seaports of Ukraine».

This was reported by the AMPU press service on Facebook.

The vessel was at the "Bystre" mouth conducting scheduled operations with a crew of 11 members.

As a result of the explosion, three AMPU workers lost their lives. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. Other crew members are currently in the hospital receiving necessary medical care.

Emergency services are on-site to manage the situation. Further details are being clarified. More information will be communicated later.

The state enterprise «Administration of Seaports of Ukraine» will provide all necessary support to the families of the victims and those affected by the tragic event.

The maritime approach channel at the "Bystre" mouth is temporarily closed to vessel traffic. Vessels are currently accessing the Danube region seaports via the Sulina Channel.
