New Air Alert System Implementation in Kyiv Region

Starting July 24, a new air alert system will be implemented in the Kyiv region, activating only in areas where there is a genuine threat.
This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, on social media.
He explained that in the event of detecting hostile targets, the alert will be sent only to the parts of the region under immediate threat, rather than across the entire Kyiv area.
“We successfully tested this system last night in collaboration with the Air Forces and State Emergency Service. It operated reliably and without failures,” Kalashnyk assured.
This is not merely a technical upgrade but the introduction of targeted notifications that meet current requirements to support business operations, educational activities, and other sectors impacted by the war.
The region is continuing to modernize its entire alert system.
The new architecture includes modern equipment, digital communication channels, and backup power to ensure autonomous operation even during outages.
