Forecast for Oilseed Production in Ukraine for 2025/26

In Ukraine, the total production of major oilseeds for the 2025/26 marketing year is projected to reach 22.6 million tons.

This forecast was announced by the CEO of the association "UkrOliaprom", Stepan Kapshuk, according to the APK-Inform agency.

More than half of this volume is expected to come from sunflower seeds – 13.1 million tons. The rapeseed harvest is expected to be at 3.3 million tons, while soybean production is forecasted at 6.2 million tons.

The total processing volume for these crops in the 2025/26 season is estimated to be 17.7 million tons: sunflower – 13 million tons, soybean – 3.1 million tons, rapeseed – 1.6 million tons.

The association anticipates that the total export of oilseeds for the season will be around 4.9 million tons, with 3 million tons being soybeans. Up to 1.7 million tons of rapeseed and about 200,000 tons of sunflower seeds may also be exported.

Regarding oil production, Kapshuk added that the total volume for the 2025/26 marketing year is expected to be approximately 7.1 million tons. Of this, 5.8 million tons will be sunflower oil, while rapeseed and soybean oil production will amount to 680,000 tons and 620,000 tons respectively.
