The Ukrainian Defense Minister, Denys Shmyhal, held a meeting with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, and the deputy ministers responsible for international cooperation and supply. The primary focus was on the development of weaponry, specifically drones for military purposes.
Shmyhal shared updates on his Facebook page.
«We discussed the objectives stemming from the Technological Meeting held on June 27. All points were covered. The main priority is to equip our soldiers with the necessary technology and weaponry», he emphasized.
According to him, this also relates to the protection of Ukrainian cities.
«We will expand production in Ukraine and procure intercepting drones from our partners that have already proven effective. We expect to see significant results in the near future», Shmyhal noted.
Discussions with deputies revolved around procurement, contracting, and production financing, with a focus on priorities. Shmyhal assigned relevant tasks.
«We are ramping up efforts across every direction to strengthen our defense capabilities», he concluded.
