Experts from «Kyivavtodor» are currently installing beams between supports 1 and 2 above the metro line.
Residents of Kyiv are well aware of the bridge near the «Darnytsia» metro station.
This bridge was put into operation in 1963 and has not undergone major repairs since then.
At the beginning of February this year, the municipal corporation announced that from February 8 to November 30, traffic over the bridge would be closed for reconstruction.
Road workers are carrying out complex tasks of dismantling the bridge's structures: they are removing the worn-out roadway, spans, supports, and foundations.
The specialists of the «Kyivavtodor» corporation are actively working on the reconstruction of the bridge at the intersection of Budivelnykiv Street and Brovarskyi Avenue near the «Darnytsia» metro station.
Currently, they are installing beams between supports 1 and 2 over the metro line.
«The beams are secured using metal guides driven into the structure, which produces loud noises. These works are expected to be completed in early September,» the road workers added.
The municipal corporation apologizes for the temporary inconveniences.
