Ukrainian Railways Humanitarian Efforts in July
In July, Ukrainian Railways is actively engaged in evacuating citizens from hazardous areas to ensure their safety. Since the beginning of the month, 417 individuals have been evacuated, including women, children, families with infants, and passengers with reduced mobility.
The evacuation trains operated on the following routes:
- Zaporizhzhia — Lviv: 100 individuals;
- Pavlohrad — Lviv: 146 individuals;
- Kharkiv — Sumy — Uzhhorod: 21 individuals;
- Kherson — Lviv: 85 individuals;
- Shostka — Kyiv: 65 individuals.
All evacuees arrived in the western regions, where they were welcomed by local authorities, volunteers, and humanitarian organizations. They were quickly accommodated in safe places.
Railway staff pay special attention to passengers with reduced mobility. Recently, 11 such passengers traveled from Dnipro to Khmelnytskyi, and another 14 headed to Rivne.
Moreover, in recent days, four families from the Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka communities, including 10 children, were successfully evacuated to Transcarpathia. They have all received comfortable housing.
Ukrainian Railways emphasizes that the company is continuously working to ensure that Ukrainians can safely reach secure locations. Train conductors, engineers, dispatchers, volunteers, and partners are all involved in the evacuation process.
