Reflecting Odessa Through Anton Logov's Art
The work of artist Anton Logov captures the essence of Odessa, where he studied.
The display of his installation in the capital marked the beginning of a nationwide tour across four major cities.
«I have a deep affection for Odessa and its sunny days. They are intertwined, as their brightness reflects upon each other. This installation speaks of architecture and nature, love and harmony, dreams and reality, — explained the author Anton Logov. — My memories of Odessa serve as a tribute to this beautiful city. The stylization of the sculpture's elements belongs to the minimalist and abstract direction.
The sun above the city symbolizes hope and goodness. Truth will prevail, and we all deserve a peaceful life. It is filled with childhood memories where time didn't exist, only laughter and warmth.»
According to him, the pastel shades of turquoise and pink delicately emphasize the tenderness of memories about the coastal city. Small mirrors on the installation act as portals to the future. Additionally, some forms of the sculpture resemble rocky landscapes and stylized trees.
The installation will visit four cities. Today, July 16, it can still be seen at the entrance to the Museum of War. Next, it will head to Dnipro (July 17, TРК MOST-city, open parking, level 4), Lviv (July 18, TРЦ Victoria Gardens), and Odessa (July 19 — August 3, Arcadia Alley).
