The Ukrainian government has enacted a new law concerning dual citizenship, signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday.
This was disclosed by the president himself.
Zelensky mentioned that he signed the law approved by the Verkhovna Rada on June 18, introducing amendments to the regulations on acquiring and retaining Ukrainian citizenship.
"With the introduction of dual citizenship, we will be able to establish more legal foundations for the unity of our vast nation – millions of Ukrainians across all continents, as well as those from other nations who have tied their fate to Ukraine", he emphasized.
The president also stated that Ukraine can begin identifying the first partner countries with which dual citizenship agreements will be implemented.
