Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Lebanon
The Israeli Defense Forces have launched a series of strikes on sites associated with the group "Hezbollah" deep within Lebanon. The targets included terrorist special forces and weapons depots.
This was reported by Vesty.co.il.
The press service indicated that the main targets of the attacks were training camps of the elite terrorist unit known as "Raduan".
"Following the instructions of military intelligence A.M.A.N and the Northern Command, the Israeli Air Force has begun striking a number of terrorist sites in Lebanon," the statement read.
Lebanese media reported that the strikes were carried out in the Baalbek area, which is over 80 km from the Israeli border.
The IDF explained that movements of militants were observed at several sites, and intelligence revealed the presence of Hezbollah's arms depots.
The Israeli army's press service emphasized that these camps were utilized for combat training of terrorists preparing for actions against Israel, the publication reported.
On July 9, Israeli military officials stated that they had entered southern Lebanon as part of targeted operations to eliminate the infrastructure of the Iranian-backed group "Hezbollah".
