Charity Football Match for Ukraine's Military Intelligence
CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH: a fundraising event for Ukraine's military intelligence was held in the capital
On July 12, at the «Dynamo» stadium in Kyiv, a charity match called «MAGURA UNITED» brought together stars of Ukrainian art, sports veterans, and military intelligence personnel on the football field.
The primary aim of the event was to raise funds for the purchase of modern MAGURA drones for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Before the match commenced, the national anthem was played, followed by a moment of silence in memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine's independence.
Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov thanked the players for their support of the military capabilities of the intelligence unit.
“MAGURA is not just a naval drone; it represents Ukrainian innovation recognized worldwide for its successful operations. Recently, we recorded several achievements thanks to these drones. Thank you to everyone supporting MAGURA!”, – said Budanov.
The first symbolic kick of the ball was made by a member of the GUR special forces with the call sign “Khan”, who uses advanced naval drones.
The match featured two teams: “Formula of Victory” and “Ukrainian Artists Team”, consisting of actors, athletes, TV hosts, musicians, volunteers, veterans, and military intelligence personnel. The coaches were Oleksandr Holovko and Oleksandr Khatskevych.
Among the notable participants were musicians, actors, TV hosts, and former footballers such as Yevhen Khacheridi and Vitalii Lysytskyi.
“We have raised over 30 million UAH for new MAGURA drones. These funds will finance the production of new models. Thank you to everyone for your support!”, – shared Diana Podolyanchuk, head of the charity fund.
