Fraudsters on social media and messaging platforms are sending messages purportedly from banks offering a «cash reward» for completing a short survey.
This information has been confirmed by the State Special Communications Service.
These messages contain links to phishing websites designed to resemble official bank sites. Victims who click on these links complete the survey and are then prompted to enter their phone number, SMS code, and PIN.
The information collected is used by scammers to link the victim's account to a new device or to authorize transactions in the bank's app, allowing them to withdraw funds from the victim's account.
How to avoid scams?
Verify the website address before entering any payment card information or passwords – phishing pages can look like legitimate ones.
Trust only official sources! Check for information about surveys and payouts on official institution websites.
Do not click links in messages; search for the official site independently through a search engine.
