The National Bank of Ukraine has unveiled a new commemorative coin celebrating the third anniversary of the Vampire bomber drone.
These drones have conducted over 1 million combat missions, carrying up to 15 kg of payload. Their effectiveness and power instill fear in enemies, who refer to them as 'Baba Yaga'.
Drones can ascend to heights of 500 meters with a maximum flight range of up to 15 km.
This Ukrainian hexacopter has proven to be a reliable tool for target engagement, remote mining, and humanitarian aid.
The press service of the National Bank announced that the coin's design was created by Ukrainian artists Volodymyr Taran, Oleksandr Kharyk, and Serhiy Kharyk.
The 5-hryvnia coin is part of the 'Armed Forces of Ukraine' series titled 'Ukrainian Cotton. UAV Vampire'.
A total of 75 thousand coins have been minted.
The obverse depicts a war-torn landscape with defensive trenches and a burning enemy tank, while above the field is the silhouette of the Vampire drone in flight.
The reverse shows the Vampire hexacopter dropping munitions. The background features clouds with lightning, symbolizing the drone's speed, accuracy, and power.
