Starting July 1, the prices for public transport cards in Kyiv will change. The standard "blue" card will now cost 96 UAH, while the student plastic card will be priced at 120 UAH.
This information has been reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
"Over the past two years, production conditions and logistics costs have significantly changed. Thus, the manufacturer is forced to adapt to the economic situation and raise the prices," the KCSA explained.
The price difference is attributed to the production specifics: blue cards are produced in large batches, while student cards are made individually with personalization, impacting their cost.
The KCSA noted that previously purchased cards remain valid and can be recharged and used for transport; the fare rates will also remain unchanged.
The announcement also mentions that in addition to the plastic transport card, a digital card is also available for purchase.
