New Sanctions Against Drone Manufacturers in Russia

On June 20, 2025, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree implementing the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) decision on sanctions against individuals and organizations involved in the development of drones in Russia.
The decision, published under decree number 415/2025, imposes restrictions on 56 individuals and 55 legal entities.
The President's Office emphasizes that the new sanctions target:
those involved in the production of drones such as “Geran” and “Orlan-10”;
FPV system developers;
suppliers for LLC “Alabuga Machinery”;
companies importing components for «Kronstadt»;
those engaged in schemes to circumvent international sanctions.
According to the decree, measures such as asset blocking, trade restrictions, and other limitations will be applied.
Oversight of enforcement is assigned to the NSDC Secretary.
The decree takes effect upon publication.
Zelensky also previously imposed sanctions against individuals involved in the Russification of Ukrainian children.
The list includes 48 individuals and 9 legal entities, including Russian journalist Roman Alyokhin.
