The Ukrainian government, during its meeting on June 11, approved a decree allowing the use of private aircraft in the air defense system.

For the first time, a legal mechanism for involving private aircraft in air defense tasks has been established.
Notably, the temporary registration procedure has been simplified, reducing the timeframe to 10 days. Previously, such registration took between 2 to 6 months for state aircraft.
Quote from Rustem Umerov: "Until today, there were no legal grounds for engaging private aircraft in air defense operations, despite citizens willingly offering their equipment to help repel enemy air strikes. This step will enhance our air defense capabilities amid the increasing use of strike drones by the adversary".
