Youth Initiatives for the Reconstruction of Ukraine
Young individuals aged 18 to 35 will have a unique opportunity not only to explore their homeland but also to contribute to its reconstruction.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, in collaboration with the National Youth Center and the active NGO “Citizen Initiative,” supported by UNDP, is launching the youth exchange program “REBUILD: UA.” This project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the government of Japan.
Since its inception in 2022, the program has engaged over 1500 young activists, resulting in the restoration of 52 youth centers across Ukraine.
In 2025, “REBUILD: UA” will encompass 15 communities in various regions, allowing youth to live and work there, immersing themselves in local culture, and participating in workshops and masterclasses.
The program consists of three key components:
- Volunteering — participating in recovery projects to create youth spaces.
- Education — developing skills in leadership, media literacy, and social cohesion.
- Cultural program — immersing in the history and traditions of host communities.
Participation in the program is free of charge, covering accommodation, meals, and transportation costs. No construction experience is required.
This initiative not only promotes the physical reconstruction of the country but also strengthens social ties and fosters a new generation of leaders. United by a common goal, the youth of Ukraine is building the future together.
