Ukraine has signed a new agreement with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), which will allocate 50 million euros to finance a mortgage program aimed at individuals who have been displaced from their homes.
This information was shared by the State Fund for Youth Housing Construction.
“Under this agreement, the CEB funds amounting to 50 million euros will be used to provide favorable mortgage loans to internally displaced persons – citizens of Ukraine.
The implementation of this project will enable approximately 1,100 IDP families to access affordable housing by 2025,” the agency reported.
According to the State Fund, the signing of the agreement marks the beginning of the second phase of the “Housing for IDPs” project.
During the first phase, which ran from 2021 to 2025 with funding from the German government grant through KfW Bank, over 1,050 IDP families were able to purchase their own homes.
