Tragic Explosion in Komisarivka: A Fatal Incident in the Yard

In Komisarivka, Mykolaiv region, a horrifying event unfolded: a woman brought an explosive device to her neighbors' yard. The grenade detonated, leading to the death of a three-year-old boy and the woman herself.

This tragedy occurred on the evening of May 20, as reported by the Main Department of the National Police of the Mykolaiv region.

Authorities discovered that a 41-year-old local resident, while inebriated, approached her neighbors and asked to be taken to a store.

After being refused, she returned home but later came back with a dangerous object that exploded in the yard.

“As a result of the explosion, the three-year-old son of the homeowners died, and soon after, the woman also succumbed to her injuries,” the police added.

At the scene, law enforcement found fragments of an F1 hand grenade, designed for inflicting damage on living targets.

In the woman’s house, over 100 rounds of various calibers for automatic weapons were discovered. The ammunition was seized and sent for forensic examination.
