Ukraine's New Peace Initiatives
On May 7, Ukraine conducted an online meeting to discuss peace initiatives with representatives from the USA and several European nations, as reported by the President's Office.

Details: Special representatives of President Biden, Stephen Witkoff and Keith Kellogg, French President's diplomatic advisor Emmanuel Bonne, UK Prime Minister's national security advisor Jonathan Powell, and German Chancellor's foreign policy advisor Gunther Sauter participated in the talks.
Additionally, discussions were held with diplomatic representatives from Northern European and Baltic countries, as well as the European Council and the European Commission.
The Ukrainian delegation included Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, Deputy Head of the President's Office Ihor Zhovkva, and advisors to the Head of the President's Office Daria Zarivna and Oleksandr Bevz.
"The main topic was the introduction of an unconditional and complete ceasefire for 30 days…
Yermak emphasized that a complete and unconditional ceasefire should be the first step and a prerequisite for negotiations aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace", the statement said.
At the same time, the President's Office noted that Vladimir Putin's proposal for a three-day truce aimed solely at ensuring the safety of the parade in Moscow, rather than reaching peace.
The negotiations also addressed potential measures to pressure Russia in the event of a refusal to accept the ceasefire proposal or violations of the agreement for complete silence.
