Celebrating Resilient Mothers: New Stamps from Ukrposhta
Ukrposhta has announced the release of new stamps dedicated to the resilient Ukrainian mothers. The presentation of these items was held in honor of Mother's Day, as reported by the company.
According to Ukrposhta, the product will serve as a "symbol of respect and gratitude to Ukrainian mothers".
"Despite the trials of war, Ukrainians honor the women who have raised a resilient nation. The new postage stamp by Ukrposhta is dedicated to all mothers who have blessed their children to defend the homeland, mothers who preserve the memory of the fallen, whose memory cannot be destroyed by enemy bullets, and mothers who have chosen to join the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine, fighting for a future for their children in a free and independent Ukraine," the postal service explained.
The new stamp titled "To Mother's Day. I Live Through You..." features an embrace between a woman in traditional Ukrainian attire and a soldier.
"The woman, symbolizing the image of a mother, wraps her son in a bright yellow embroidered scarf, while her face expresses deep sorrow and tenderness," added Ukrposhta.
The author of the special miniature is the honored artist of Ukraine, Oleksandr Okhapkin, who also created the stamp "Under the Protection of the Virgin Mary".
The print run of the stamp will be 320 thousand copies. Additionally, Ukrposhta will release 20 thousand 'First Day' envelopes and 500 presentation folders. The first-day cancellation with a special postmark is scheduled to take place in Kyiv, as well as in all regions of the country.
The stamp "To Mother's Day. I Live Through You..." will officially be released on May 9.
