New Stamp Series to Honor Ukrainian Infantry
Ukrposhta has announced the release of a new series of stamps titled "Strength of the Nation," dedicated to Ukrainian infantry soldiers.
There will be a total of 1500 copies produced, as reported by the press service of Ukrposhta.
The author of the new stamp is Ukrainian artist Andriy Yermolenko, who received the Shevchenko Prize last year for his series of works titled "Courage of the Nation."
This release is timed to coincide with Infantry Day, celebrated in Ukraine on May 6.
"In honor of those who fight for their land, who are ready to risk everything for peace. In honor of those who stand as the first line of defense for their homeland. For those who believe that anything is possible," the publication states.
Each stamp sold will contribute 8 hryvnias towards the reconstruction of the faces of Ukrainian defenders who have suffered injuries from mines and explosions.
The stamps will be released at the end of May, with the exact date to be announced later. Philatelic subscribers will receive a payment link in their emails closer to the release date.
Recall that in March this year, Ukrposhta issued a series of stamps titled "Heroic Mariupol," dedicated to the defenders of the city and its residents who perished due to Russian aggressions.
The stamps are made with particles of steel produced at the Azovstal plant.
