Young Man in Kyiv Fined for Posting Limousine Video

A 22-year-old man in Kyiv has come under police scrutiny after posting a video on TikTok where he and his friends exited a limousine while Russian music played.

Law enforcement quickly identified the young man and issued him a report for petty hooliganism, according to the Kyiv police.

"During a social media review, officers discovered a video where a group of young people flaunted their behavior while exiting a limousine in the city center to the sounds of Russian songs," the statement read.

Officers from the Shevchenkivskyi police department found out that the video was created by a 22-year-old Kyiv resident, who was invited to the police station.

"During the conversation with the police, he explained that the original video had no music, and when posting it on TikTok, he decided to add songs by a Russian artist for hype," police explained.

The young man received an administrative report for Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for petty hooliganism, which carries a fine of 51 to 119 UAH.

It’s worth noting that recently, police in Kyiv, together with the SBU, identified individuals who were playing Russian music in the Podil district and ignored warnings from passersby.

In particular, one woman approached the group and mentioned that it was inappropriate to listen to Russian music since on that day, Russians had attacked Sumy. The young men laughed and turned up the volume.

They were also issued reports for petty hooliganism and drinking alcohol in public.
