New Opportunities for Ukrainians Abroad

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has announced that Ukrainians living abroad will be able to continue using their operator's tariffs without paying additional fees for mobile communication and internet services in 27 EU countries even after the state of war is lifted.

According to the statement from the ministry, Parliament has passed bill No. 12150, which is the last necessary legislative step to initiate negotiations on the Roam like home (RLAH) policy.

This will enable Ukrainian and European operators to exchange services and collaborate more easily. The NCCIR will receive the necessary powers to regulate network access and resolve disputes between operators, bringing Ukraine one step closer to full integration into the EU's Digital Single Market.

Once the law is signed by the President of Ukraine, the European Commission will evaluate the adopted laws, and only then will negotiations begin for joining the unified roaming zone of the EU.

It is important to note that RLAH is a service that allows making calls, sending SMS, and transmitting data included in the service packages of Ukrainian operators without additional charges. At the same time, residents of EU countries will be able to enjoy the same benefits while in Ukraine.
