Security Talks on Black Sea Navigation

In the coming days, a meeting involving representatives from Ukraine and Russia is set to take place in Ankara, Turkey.

The primary topic for discussion will be the security of navigation in the Black Sea.

This has been reported by CNN Türk, citing sources from the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

The meeting is scheduled for April 15-16.

"On April 15-16, officials from Russia and Ukraine will convene at the naval command in Ankara to discuss Black Sea security," the channel reports.

Military representatives from foreign nations will also be present at the talks, though specifics have not been disclosed.

It is expected that they will discuss measures to support peace and security in the Black Sea region.

Ceasefire Negotiations

Following talks in Saudi Arabia at the end of March, the USA and Ukraine agreed to further discuss navigation security in the Black Sea.

At that time, discussions were also held between delegations from the USA and Russia, where Russia demanded full control over Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions of Ukraine.

Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested considering the idea of temporary international administration in Ukraine involving the UN, the USA, and European countries.

The Kremlin leader reiterated his claims about the alleged illegitimacy of President Volodymyr Zelensky and other authorities in Ukraine.

At that time, the UN affirmed that Ukraine has a "legitimate government that must be respected."

US President Donald Trump also rejected the Kremlin's idea of temporary administration in Ukraine.
