Power Supply Challenges in Ukraine Due to Severe Weather

In Ukraine, numerous settlements are experiencing power outages due to unpredictable weather conditions.

This was reported by "Ukrenergo".

"Energy specialists are working diligently to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible. However, the ongoing bad weather complicates the situation", – the company stated.

Simultaneously, electricity consumption in Ukraine remains at a high level.

As of April 11 at 9:30 AM, consumption was reported to be the same as it was at that time the previous day — Thursday. The reason is the continued cold temperatures across Ukraine, along with high cloud cover in certain regions, which reduces the efficiency of household solar power systems.

Moreover, on April 10, the daily peak in consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 3.1% higher than the peak of the previous day — Wednesday, April 9.

"Please consume electricity sparingly today. Avoid turning on multiple high-power appliances simultaneously from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM", – urged "Ukrenergo".
