President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Olexiy Havrysh as the new ambassador of Ukraine to Norway.
The official decree No. 218/2025 was published on the President's Office website on April 7, according to "European Truth".
"To appoint Havrysh Olexiy Petrovych as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway", – states the decree.
Olexiy Havrysh is a businessman who is positioned as an expert in strategic and corporate governance in the energy sector and investment activities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that he has relevant experience working with Norway and is a specialist in energy issues.
The position of the Ukrainian ambassador in Norway has been vacant since the summer of 2022, when President Zelensky dismissed the previous ambassador Vyacheslav Yatsyuk after six years in office.
