Czech Republic to Fund Hospital Upgrades in Ukraine

The Czech Republic plans to finance the modernization of 13 hospitals in seven regions of Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program.
This was announced by Ukraine's Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko on his Facebook page, as reported by "European Truth".
Lyashko emphasized that the Czech Republic is ready to invest 100 million euros to upgrade hospitals under this program. To date, funding for six projects has been tentatively approved.
Among the institutions receiving support are the Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans, the Rivne Regional Hospital, the Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital, Kryvyi Rih City Hospital No. 5, City Clinical Hospital No. 16 in Dnipro, and the Kyiv Regional Children's Hospital.
"These are not just projects – they represent real changes for patients. We are grateful to the Czech Republic for its support and willingness to assist Ukraine on this crucial path," noted Lyashko.
It is worth mentioning that on April 1, the European Commission transferred 3.5 billion euros to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility.
On March 20, European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis stated that the EU will continue to financially support Ukraine in 2025 using proceeds from frozen Russian assets and under the Ukraine Facility plan.
