Continuous Restoration of Ukrainian Railways Online Services

Teams from Ukrainian Railways and experts are working non-stop to restore online services.

“A backup infrastructure has been established in a secure environment, all components have been prepared for the restart from backup copies of critical systems, detailed diagnostics of backups and identification of all potentially harmful elements are underway. Complex connections between different systems are being restored,” the statement reads.

Ukrainian Railways noted that ticket offices at all stations are operating under enhanced schedules. For example, on March 24 in Kyiv, 18 ticket offices were opened instead of the usual 8. All trains continue to run on schedule.

Reminder:

The online systems of Ukrainian Railways suffered a large-scale targeted cyberattack on March 23. The restoration of all systems took the entire previous day and is still ongoing.

The key ticket sales system of Ukrainian Railways, which all ticket offices operate on, withstood the attack and remains functional.
