Anna-Maria Dancha's Achievements at the World Cup

Ukrainian athlete Anna-Maria Dancha showcased her best season result at the World Cup snowboarding stage held in Krynica, Poland.

She secured sixth place in the parallel giant slalom, reaching the quarterfinals where she faced the Netherlands' Michelle Dekker.

After the first run, the Ukrainian snowboarder trailed her opponent by 0.09 seconds, and completed the second run with a time of +0.34 seconds, exiting the competition.

At this tournament, Dancha achieved sixth place, marking her best result of the 2024/25 season and matching her second-best career result.

"I am pleased with my performance. I really like this course: it’s neither too steep nor too flat, I can gain speed here. The snow is also spring-like, which is my favorite. By the way, last year at this World Cup stage, I finished fifth, which was my most successful performance of the season. But I aim to break into the top four. Tomorrow, there will be another World Cup stage here, so we will fight," said Dancha.

As for other Ukrainian representatives at the tournament, Nadia Hapatin placed 27th and did not qualify, Vita Bodnaruk finished 39th, and Oleksandra Malyovanna came in last at 48th. Mykhailo Kharuk placed 34th in the men's qualification.

Dancha's main achievement is winning a silver medal at the 2019 World Championship in parallel slalom. She has also been a runner-up at the World University Games in parallel giant slalom twice, in 2011 and 2017.
