Analysis of the National Bank of Ukraine's Financial Activities: Weekly Review

From February 24 to February 28, 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine sold $742.2 million on the interbank market, while purchasing $280,000.
According to the NBU statistics, from February 23 to 28, the sales volume decreased by $455.1 million compared to the previous week. During this week, the National Bank acquired $280,000.
On October 2, 2023, the NBU announced a shift away from the fixed exchange rate regime. Starting from October 3, 2023, the official dollar rate began to fluctuate for the first time since July 2022.
Reminder:
During the week from February 17 to February 21, the National Bank of Ukraine sold $1.191 billion on the interbank market without making any currency purchases.
