A new initiative has been launched in the capital where 100 students from grades 8–11 who excelled in academic competitions will receive a monthly scholarship of 1,000 UAH. This decision was approved by the Kyiv City Council and will take effect from September 1, 2024, until June 30, 2025. The announcement was made by Valentyn Mondriivskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
“This program highlights the significance of education in our city. The scholarships will encourage students to engage in intellectual competitions and enhance the recognition of academic achievements in Kyiv. We are committed to creating favorable conditions for nurturing young talents,” Mondriivskyi stated.
He also mentioned that the scholarship payments will be funded by the city budget.
The implementation of this scholarship program was made possible by a decision from the Kyiv City Council passed in 2022, aimed at supporting gifted youth and promoting their intellectual development.
