Kyiv Council Allocates Funds for Defense and Medical Support
During today’s session, the Kyiv Council will allocate more than 5 billion UAH to support defense forces and security.
This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko.
Of this amount, 4.9 billion UAH will be directed to the "Defender of Kyiv" program. An additional 93 million UAH will be allocated for social protection of veterans, and another 10 million UAH will be provided as a subsidy to the state budget of Ukraine for defense measures.
The Kyiv Council will also decide to increase the one-time financial assistance for mobilized residents of Kyiv from 30,000 UAH to 50,000 UAH.
Furthermore, the council will approve an increase in monthly financial assistance provided to medical staff.
In particular, this concerns raising the amount of assistance for junior medical personnel in healthcare facilities that provide medical and/or rehabilitation assistance. They currently receive 2,000 UAH per month, which will increase to 3,000 UAH.

The Kyiv Council has approved the city budget for 2025 at over 90 billion UAH. "The budget is balanced. It is important that the most critical sectors and projects are financially supported so that we can assist the military and ensure the functioning of the capital," said Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
