New Investment Fund Partnership between Ukraine and the USA

A new joint investment fund between Ukraine and the USA will soon be established, allowing for investments in various sectors, including the extraction of natural resources and infrastructure development.

This was announced by Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, according to information from Ukrinform.

"This fund, as a significant financial tool, will have the opportunity to invest in a wide range of projects in Ukraine as soon as the conditions allow it.

We are particularly interested in investments in natural resources, but we are also open to American investments in sectors such as road, port, and energy infrastructure," Kachka noted.

He emphasized that this agreement will not require Ukraine to transfer state assets into the fund.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has published the text of the memorandum with the USA regarding the formalization of the economic partnership agreement and investment fund for reconstruction.

A new round of negotiations concerning natural resources will begin in the USA on April 24, with technical issues and formulations concerning the future investment fund currently being discussed.
