KPI Partners with GSC Game World to Advance GameDev Education
The Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky is excited to announce a collaboration with GSC Game World, a renowned Ukrainian studio known for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. This partnership focuses on enhancing educational and research initiatives aimed at strengthening the training of specialists in the Ukrainian GameDev sector.
A key feature of this agreement will be the launch of a new educational program titled "Video Game Development", the curriculum of which will be developed by GSC Game World experts. The studio will create a comprehensive training course that incorporates modern technologies, innovative game development approaches, and real industry requirements, covering everything from game engines to the unique aspects of large project production.
The Faculty of Computer Science plans to conduct joint activities with the GSC team, including workshops, training sessions, and themed seminars. Faculty and students will have opportunities to participate in research initiatives related to graphics technologies, development tools, and game system optimization. The partnership also includes dual education, allowing students to undertake internships and work on real projects at GSC Game World.
At KPI, it is emphasized that this collaboration will help establish a complete cycle for training game programmers in Ukraine, merging academic knowledge with practical experience from one of the country's most prominent game studios. This will enable the university to respond swiftly to the needs of the GameDev market and provide students with the relevant skills necessary for the industry.
