Coordinating Efforts in Peace Negotiations

The foreign ministers of Ukraine, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Finland, Italy, and Poland held a phone conference to discuss the results of the recent meeting between Ukrainian and American delegations in Geneva. This was reported by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha on social media platform X.
“I had a constructive conversation with our partners, including Johann Wadephul from Germany, Yvette Cooper from the UK, Jean-Noël Barrot from France, Elina Valtonen from Finland, Antonio Tajani from Italy, and Radosław Sikorski from Poland. I informed them about the latest developments in our peace efforts, the results of yesterday's productive talks in Geneva, and the crucial role of Europe in this process. We exchanged perspectives and coordinated our positions for the next steps,” stated Sybiha.
He expressed gratitude to allies for their unwavering support, assuring that Ukraine appreciates the peace efforts of the United States and President Donald Trump, remaining committed to working constructively towards ending the conflict.
“I emphasized the critical importance of maintaining transatlantic unity to ensure a lasting and just peace for Ukraine and all of Europe. We also agreed on the need to continue applying pressure on Russia, particularly through new sanctions and measures to ensure the full utilization of frozen Russian assets by the end of the year,” the Foreign Minister added.
According to Sybiha, all participants in the phone negotiations share the view that the primary goal of the peace process is a fair and lasting peace respecting Ukraine's sovereignty and security.
“We agreed to stay in close coordination to achieve this goal. I also urged our partners to consider high-level visits to Ukraine to demonstrate their solidarity and support for our people,” concluded the minister.
