In Kyiv, law enforcement carried out an operation that led to the arrest of a man involved in drug trafficking. The 50-year-old taxi driver claimed to be working in the taxi service but was found to be delivering illegal substances to clients.
During the inspection of his vehicle, police discovered several packets of amphetamine and cannabis, scales, mobile phones, and a large sum of cash. Subsequently, a search at his residence revealed more illegal substances.
The suspect has been charged under part 3 of article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for illegal acquisition and storage of narcotics. The court has placed him in custody with bail set at 900,000 hryvnias.
