A recent crime in Kyiv has garnered attention, where a group of young individuals, using fake identities, stole property from a local resident worth a significant amount. According to the victim, the incident occurred after he met with a stranger who turned out to be an accomplice in the crime.
The police quickly responded to the report of the attack and initiated an investigation. It was established that the offenders used a fraudulent profile on social media to arrange a meeting at the victim's apartment. Once inside, they used physical force, bound the victim, and forced him to provide access to his finances.
After gaining access to the banking information, the criminals wasted no time transferring large sums of money to their accounts and stealing personal valuables, including jewelry.
Criminal investigation officers, working alongside analysts, swiftly identified the attackers, some of whom were minors. During the arrest, one of them was found with the victim's bank cards.
Investigating authorities, under the guidance of the prosecutor's office, have filed charges under several articles of the Criminal Code, including robbery and misappropriation of documents. The offenders face serious penalties.
