Ukrainian Foreign Minister's Visit to Poland: Discussing Security and Cooperation
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha commenced his visit to Warsaw, meeting with the Marshal of the Polish Senate, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska. In a post on social media, he expressed gratitude to the Senate for their support of Ukraine and Ukrainians in Poland.
"I updated the Marshal on the battlefield situation and the recent escalation from Russia — deliberate mass attacks against civilians. We discussed Russian provocations against EU and NATO member states and how to deter the Kremlin," the minister noted.
According to Sybiha, there is a mutual understanding that a "decisive, strong, and united response" is necessary to counter such Russian tactics. He highlighted Ukraine's readiness to collaborate with Poland and other allies, sharing Ukrainian experiences and facilitating joint decisive actions to halt Russia.
The parties also acknowledged significant progress in resolving sensitive issues from their shared past.
"It is essential to communicate this more actively to Polish and Ukrainian societies to strengthen trust and good neighborliness. I emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary diplomacy in this context," the minister stated.
