Teenager Arrested with Drugs in Kyiv
In the capital of Ukraine, law enforcement discovered 45 packets containing a substance resembling Alpha-PVP with a teenager. The young man could face a sentence of up to ten years.
While patrolling the Obolon district, near Stepan Bandera Avenue, police officers spotted a young man with «stash spots» wrapped in tape. A detective team was sent to the scene to clarify the circumstances.
The boy had 45 packets, wrapped in tape, containing a crystalline substance that resembles the psychoactive drug Alpha-PVP.
The offender turned out to be a 17-year-old student from one of Kyiv's lyceums, who worked as a courier for an illegal online drug shop. His duties included creating hiding spots for the «goods» for clients and sending them geolocation.
Law enforcement detained the offender under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
After conducting the appropriate examination, he is expected to be charged under part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal acquisition, storage, or sale of psychoactive substances or their analogs. The penalty for this article provides for up to ten years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
