While parents were busy shopping, their young child found himself in a dangerous situation. In the Dnipro district of Kyiv, a 6-year-old boy, left unattended, discovered a lighter on the shelf and ignited a cardboard box with a chair. The flames quickly spread, engulfing several product displays. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Recently, the police received a report of a fire at a hypermarket. Upon arrival, law enforcement and firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.
It turned out that the boy had approached the lighter display while his parents were preoccupied with selecting items. His actions resulted in significant financial losses for the store, estimated at over 30,000 hryvnias.
Authorities conducted a preventive talk with the child and filed administrative materials against the parents for neglecting their parenting duties, which could lead to hefty fines.
The police urge parents to be more vigilant regarding their children's safety and never leave them unattended.
