A young man faces up to five years of imprisonment for his hooligan actions.
Law enforcement in Kyiv learned of the incident through social media. Videos appeared on various Telegram channels showing an unknown individual running along the balustrade between escalators at the «Khreshchatyk» subway station, grabbing onto advertising lights. Notably, he broke one of the lights, causing financial harm to the advertising company.
Police identified the offender as a 19-year-old from Cherkasy region who had recently arrived in the capital for work.
Currently, the young man has been notified of the suspicion under part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - hooliganism.
