President Visits Knowledge Day Celebration in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky participated in the Knowledge Day festivities at a school in the Kyiv region.

He shared this update on his Facebook page.

According to the President, today marks the beginning of a new school year in Ukraine, with millions of students acquiring knowledge both offline and online. The first bell is always special: it signifies the start of new learnings, dreams, and achievements. Zelensky noted that he shared this festive atmosphere with the students at a school in Kyiv.

"I interacted with the children and teachers. The school is equipped for safe, comfortable, and engaging learning. They have considered accessibility as well, which is very important. This is how we should support our children, help them, and create conditions in which they want to learn, grow, and dream big," the President emphasized.

He expressed gratitude to "everyone working in this manner, to each individual in the education sector."

According to Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyy, 3.5 million students are starting the new school year in Ukraine, with most attending in-person classes.
