Romanian President Nicușor Dan plans to visit Kyiv in the fall at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Dan announced this on his social media platform X.
After his conversation with Zelensky, the Romanian president stressed the necessity of achieving lasting peace in Ukraine and halting the daily crimes committed by Russia.
According to Dan, Romania supports the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement.
«The peace agreement must be fair, durable, and sustainable. Peace should be achieved with Ukraine at the negotiating table. Romania supports the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine», - the Romanian leader stated.
He added that as a neighbor and partner, Romania will continue to support Ukraine in all efforts to achieve just peace for its people, as the security of Ukraine is closely linked to the security of the Black Sea and Europe.
«I have accepted President Zelensky's invitation to visit Kyiv this autumn», - Dan informed.
