During a domestic dispute, a woman stabbed her partner approximately seven times, resulting in his death at the scene. She faces a potential sentence of up to fifteen years in prison.
The Kyiv police received a report of a murder occurring in one of the houses in the Dnipro district. Patrol officers, an investigative team, and a forensic expert were dispatched to the scene.
In the apartment, officers found the body of a 34-year-old man showing signs of violent death. Police determined that while consuming alcoholic beverages, a conflict arose between the partners, during which the woman grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the man around seven times in the back and chest.
The 38-year-old assailant was arrested at the scene in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators confiscated the alleged murder weapon and informed the woman of the suspicion under part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional murder. The article's penalty provides for up to fifteen years of imprisonment.
