Tragic Traffic Accident in Kyiv Region Claims Driver's Life

A tragic car accident took place on Wednesday, July 30, near the entrance to the village of Lebedivka in the Vyshhorod district. The driver of a Toyota Camry lost control of the vehicle, veering off the road and crashing into a tree.

According to reports from the Kyiv police.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident, which resulted in the death of the 62-year-old driver. A 57-year-old female passenger was also in the car and suffered injuries, receiving necessary medical attention.

Investigators have initiated proceedings under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code for violating road safety rules, leading to fatal consequences. However, the case may be closed due to the death of the responsible party.

The Kyiv police once again urge drivers to be vigilant behind the wheel, consider road conditions, and avoid speeding to ensure the safety of themselves and others.
