New Delegation Formed for Negotiations with Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has initiated the formation of a new group for negotiations with the Russian side. Rustem Umerov will lead the delegation, which will include specialists from intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the President's Office.
The president announced this via Telegram.
«I have tasked the formation of a delegation for negotiations with the Russian side. Rustem Umerov will head the team, which will also include representatives from Ukrainian intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the President's Office», - stated Zelensky following a meeting on the crucial negotiation outcomes for Ukraine.
According to the president, during the meeting, NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov reported on the implementation of agreements reached during the second meeting in Istanbul, as well as a new meeting planned for the near future.
«Ukraine is ready to work as productively as possible to free our people from captivity, return abducted children, and stop the killings while preparing for a leaders' meeting to genuinely end this war. Our position is as transparent as possible. Ukraine has never desired this war, and it is Russia that must end the war it started», - emphasized the head of state.
He also informed that during the meeting, the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak reported on coordinating diplomatic efforts with partners in Europe and the United States.
