New Inclusive Dormitory for Displaced Persons in Pereyaslav
The new dormitory for displaced persons in Pereyaslav is equipped with ramps, special restrooms for individuals with disabilities, Braille signage, and tactile tiles. The area is outfitted with LED lighting and barrier-free pathways.
The dormitory was constructed as part of the first phase of a project for internally displaced persons funded by the group of companies "Niva Pereyaslavshchyna." This was reported by Mykola Kalashnikov, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
“Even in challenging times, businesses continue to invest in people. Initiatives like the one in Pereyaslav should serve as a model. When an employer not only creates jobs but also provides housing and comfort, it is a powerful support for the region,” Kalashnikov emphasized.
The project was initiated during the full-scale invasion by businessman Oleksandr Mostipan. The building meets all modern standards: it has an autonomous pellet boiler, generators, and a water purification system. In emergencies, the housing remains completely energy-independent.
Each block includes two spacious rooms, a kitchen with a refrigerator and washing machine, and a separate restroom with a shower. The building is equipped with fire alarms, a firefighting pond, a shelter, and recreational and sports areas.
The construction of the second phase is currently underway, with roofing and part of the interior works already completed. The project is expected to be finished by autumn. In total, up to 300 people can be accommodated in the two dormitories.
“All work is carried out by our construction division using modern materials and a professional approach. Every detail, from engineering solutions to living conditions, is designed with the comfort and safety of those who have experienced forced relocation in mind,” Mykola Kalashnikov added.
