New Insights into Drones: Recent Additions to the Museum
The aviation museum has received new items: two Russian UAVs «Gerbera» and parts from three «Geran-2» drones.
According to representatives of the State Aviation Museum named after O.K. Antonov, Anton Senenko, a member of the supervisory board of the Kyiv Aviation Institute, and an anonymous air defense unit delivered two «Gerbera» UAVs and fragments from three «Geran-2» (originally designed in Iran — Shahed 136).
«We have previously donated downed drones to the museum, but these specimens have been carefully restored by the fighters. Students can closely study the structure, control elements, power supply, and technical solutions», — said Anton Senenko.
Interestingly, the serial numbers of the «Gerbera» drones start with the letters «ЫЫ».
«Unfortunately, it is worth noting that the enemy is evolving and improving their drones — the wing attachments on the „Gerbera“ are significantly different from the previous models displayed at the „Downed“ exhibition,» — the museum stated.
Deactivated Russian drones can be viewed during a tour at the training hangar of the Kyiv Aviation Institute (1 Lubomyr Huzar Ave).
