Investigation Launched into Possible Assault on Military Reservist in Mykolaiv

An investigation has been initiated in Mykolaiv concerning a possible assault on a military reservist by employees of the Shipyard District Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

This was reported by the DBR.

According to the DBR, the incident occurred on July 14, 2025, during mobilization activities. Preliminary information suggests that the man, who was wanted, may have been a victim of abuse of office.

The case has been opened under part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - abuse of power or office by a military officer, causing severe consequences. The maximum penalty under this article is up to 12 years of imprisonment.

The prosecutorial oversight is conducted by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the sphere of defense of the Southern region, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
