Zelensky Announces New Initiatives in State Institutions
According to the president, Ukraine needs to ensure progress in its relations with the United States and implement new approaches to defense management. Volodymyr Zelensky stated that important decisions will be announced soon. The details remain unclear for now. "We need to give new momentum to the work of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and our diplomatic efforts, especially with the United States," Zelensky said in his evening address on July 12.
Sibiga Announces Overhaul of MFA Structure
This week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine adopted a new structure. As Minister Andriy Sibiga reported, it aligns with wartime realities and international best practices. Specifically, the disarmament department will no longer exist; instead, a Department of International Security and Defense will be established. The US and Canada management will be separated from the Latin America department as it is a distinct area of work. A special representative will focus solely on African issues, while the Middle East and North Africa will now have their own separate department.
